The objective of Four Point Zero’s privacy policy is to assure customers that it respects the rights of privacy of its customers by undertaking to not divulge customers’ personal details nor monitor customers’ communications, other than in circumstances when Four Point Zero is compelled to do so by law.
Further, the policy advises customers as to how and when personal information will be collated and how it will be utilised. The policy also provides customers with an indication of how a customer could address any transgressions of the privacy policy.
POLICY ON CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Four Point Zero is required to collect personal information about customers so that customers can be identified based on the supporting documentation provided. Four Point Zero will collect, collate, and store certain personal information of customers and / or visitors on the websites of both Four Point Zero and its customers, respectively. The information will be obtained at various interactions between the customer and Four Point Zero, for example by virtue of the application form and the various website visits, more fully explained above and below.

This could include the following interactions only with the consent of the customer utilising the communications means of either an SMS, telephonic contact, and / or email, or other means available:

- Third parties, subsidiaries and cessionaries with whom information and data is shared by Four Point Zero. (For example being shared with a potential finance house to finance the transaction);

Any information Four Point Zero collects from the customer either through correspondence, whether via e-mail, telephonic or by way of written letter, will only be utilised to address the matter or matters within that correspondence. In the event that the relevant correspondence requires referring such correspondence within Four Point Zero or to a third party, to ensure customer service and resolution of the query, the personal information of the customer will only be disclosed in so far as it is necessary to address the query or concerns of the customer, and will otherwise be kept confidential.
Four Point Zero is committed to protecting the privacy of children and encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in managing ones child or childrens’ online activities and interests. Four Point Zero does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18.

Any information that customers disclose within a public space cannot be safeguarded and protected by Four Point Zero. This includes but is not limited to any bulletin board, chat room or any website, (including those that Four Point Zero may host for a customer), and is available to the general public, who has access to any such public space.
SITE LINKING
Four Point Zero website and those sites hosted by Four Point Zero, may for convenience and easy access to information, contain links to sites that belong to third parties unrelated to it. If any of these links are selected and clicked on, the customer or visitor will leave the webite of Four Point Zero. Four Point Zero cannot be held responsible for any use of customers’ personal information arising from customers disclosing such information on third party sites.
Four Point Zero does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from Four Point Zero’s. Four Point Zero cannot protect any information that customers may disclose on these sites and recommends that customers review carefully and effectively the privacy policies of any companies whose sites have been visited and customers must make certain that there is protection to the customer before any information is provided. Four Point Zero cannot be held liable for such sharing of information on such sites as described above. However, in the event of legal processes, court proceedings, or a court order, Four Point Zero may be liable to disclose any information that may be relevant at that time.
TYPES OF INFORMATION
There are two main types of personal information – identifiable personal data, and non-identifiable personal data.
Identifiable data generally includes:
a customer’s name, physical and postal address, telephone numbers, gender, IP address, billing information (such as a credit card number) etc.
Non-identifiable data generally includes:
a postal code; the date and time sites are accessed (if this is gathered, pages visited, usually done to monitor demand and improve usefulness of the site); the type of browser being used; the operating system and the type of personal computer being used to access the services.
In terms of the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act (RICA), 2002, as amended from time to time, all telecommunication service providers, including Internet Service Providers are obliged to obtain and keep certain identifiable personal data of customers when entering into service contracts. This includes in addition to the above, in the case of a person: identity number, residential and business addresses, and a certified copy of the customer’s identity document. In the case of a company: all of the above as well as the company’s registration number and a certified copy of the customer’s business letterhead. This expansive interpretation of personal information may be seen as overly cautious, however customers and potential customers are required to ensure that all the above information is true and correct.
REMARKETING AND THE USE OF COOKIES
Four Point Zero uses third party vendor remarketing tracking cookies, including but not limited to the Google Adwords tracking cookie. This means it will continue to show ads to one across the internet, specifically on the Google Content Network (GCN). As always, Four Point Zero respects the privacy of its customers and do not collect any identifiable information through the use of Google site or any other third party remarketing system.
The third party vendors, including Google, whose services Four Point Zero utilises, will place cookies on web browsers in order to serve ads based on past visits to the Four Point Zero website. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on user’s prior visits to a website. Four Point Zero uses the intelligence of Google ads to create special offers and continue to market its services to those who have shown interest in its services.
